Sanger Boats, Father’s Day & Camp Far West
Does it get any Better!!!
Take a real Sanger family of friends, add Father’s Day 2008, a whole lot of Sanger muscle boats among others and a weekend of camping at Camp Far West Lake with 90 + degrees of sunshine and you have harmony. Camp Far West is a small lake located just North of Lincoln, California, which is just North of Sacramento.
Scott and Tim Pellaton along with their son’s Scotty and Sean respectively, with friends Mike Temby, future son in law Mike Valencia, Dan Gross and Kevin Carter all enjoyed a weekend of speed and fun on Lake Camp Far West.
Lining the shores of a South West finger of water on the lake were a maze of hot boats dominated by a lot of Sanger hydros and flat bottoms dated from the 60’s to the mid 80’s. It was almost like the Sanger Boat Reunions held each year. In Fact there were several boats that we have seen at the Reunion that were here this weekend.
Most of the day was much like that of being around a drag boat race with many boat owners making speed passes, some by themselves and some that matched up with another boat or two and raced side by side over a half mile length of water. The difference was this was not an organized event just a bunch of hot boat owners gathering at the lake to have a fun weekend of racing and playing. If you didn’t want to race, you could take a ski boat and go around the corner and ski or barefoot and just have fun.
So for all the Sanger website visitors, here are some pictures of Fathers Day on the water at Camp Far West.
